We ontvingen zojuist een update van Bright Access: "KPN is de hele nacht bezig geweest om de oorzaak van de storing te zoeken in het netwerk en hebben een kabelbreuk aangetroffen. Deze is in de loop van de nacht hersteld. KPN geeft aan dat een deel van het netwerkprobleem is opgelost en dat ze nog bezig zijn met het andere deel. Wij wachten nog op confirmatie betreft de eindtijd van deze storing."
Daarbij ontvingen we tevens een tijdlijn van KPN:

The contractor is currently doing excavation work on site and is being assisted by the contractor who was on site and caused the cable damage. We hope that this will speed up the repair work somewhat. Now that there is more insight into the damage, its extent and the night hours, it is expected that the contractor will need at least the entire night to repair the issue, which could continue well into the morning. We will continue to monitor the ticket for progress and of course share it as soon as useful information is available. However, the expectation is that the next update will be at the end of the night/beginning of the morning on 21-3.
21/03/2025 00:18: The repair is ongoing. The trench and the handholes have been excavated.
21/03/2025 02:08: Recovery is ongoing. The new tubing has been placed in the trench.
21/03/2025 03:56: Recovery is ongoing. The contractor has begun welding the fibers.
21/03/2025 05:55: Welding the fibers has been completed. Our NOC is performing business-checks.
